Palestine Lives 2008 is a celebration of Palestinian art, culture, history and experience. It brings together, artists, poets and musicians from Palestine and England to celebrate the fact that Palestine and its culture still exists despite the 60 years of the Nakba. Please note the change of time! War criminal George Bush will visit London during his European tour next month. He is expected on 15 June. The Stop the War Coalition is planning a protest in central London on that day against Bush and his war policies, and against the British government's continuing support for his wars. The demonstration assembles at 5pm at Parliament Square. Read more here. |

Gaza is under a total siege, imposed by Israel, which has created a humanitarian crisis, destroyed the economy and violates the basic human rights of the Palestinian civilian population, particularly the right to decent living conditions, health and education.
On 19 September 2007, the Israeli government declared the Gaza Strip "a hostile entity" and stepped up its collective punishment. A crime is being perpetrated against civilians in Gaza which violates international law and the Fourth Geneva Convention. |
