An evening with Ken Loach - Manchester, Tuesday 18 March
Greater Manchester Respect is pleased to host an evening with award-wining film director Ken Loach. Ken’s latest film, "It’s a Free World, is a tale set against the reality of the Anglo-Saxon miracle of flexible labour, globalisation, double shifts and lots of happy, happy, happy consumers: in short, us.

Ken will introduce his film, which will then be followed by a ‘question and answer’ session about the issues raised on screen including the role of the trade unions in the light of the new globalised labour market and the challenges for the Left in general.

Ken will be holding special seminar for film, media and other interested students earlier in the same venue at 6.00pm. Why not come along with your questions for Britain’s most respected, radical film maker. Open to holders of en evening ticket.
